MINISTRY DOCTRINE

What we believe

The following short list of scriptures and published doctrine of HUA XCAM DIOS XASTACNA (Pastor Felipe’s Mexican religious association) signify the beliefs we have for life. We dedicate ourselves not only to live according to sound doctrine but also to teach others to do the same by way of the Herman Aschmann Memorial Training Center. We placed a copy of this doctrine inside the foundation of the building as the concrete was being poured. This action symbolizes our commitment to the principles upon which the ministry will be built.

Not to be outdone some of the children of Christian workers in Nanacatlan placed their generation stone within the foundation as well. The generation stones represent the passing down of family faith and tradition from one generation to the next. It would be hard to find a more beautiful example of the Totonac culture than this.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved, through faith-and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works so that no one may boast.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

Mathew 28:19

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

I John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

II Corinthians 15: 3-4

For what I received I passed onto you of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

II Timothy 2:2

And the things you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

Revelation 1:3

Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things that are written in it: for the time is near.

OFFICIAL MINISTRY DOCTRINE

The full doctrinal statement Felipe submitted to Mexican authorities as required by law when setting up his religious association HUA XCAM DIOS XASTACNA   (SON OF GOD LIVES) in Mexico City. Special thanks to Dr. Dale Kietzman who translated this document from Spanish to English. It was a tall order.

Fundamental Bible Doctrines

for the Christian Churches of the

HUA XCAM DIOS XASTACNA

Article 1. The Scriptures.

We believe that the Holy Bible, Old and New Testament, were inspired by God and written by men guided by God; that its contents contain the truth without any mixture of error, and therefore is and shall be until the consummation of the ages the only complete and final revelation of the will of God for mankind, the true center of the Christian union and the supreme standard to which we should subject all judgments we make about conduct, beliefs and human opinions.

(2 Timothy 3:16,17;2Peter l:19,21; Psalms 119:105,130, 160; Luke24:25-27 and44-

45; John 5:39; Revelation 22:18, 19)

Article 2. The True God.

We believe that there is only one God living and true, that he is an infinite spirit and indescribably glorious in holiness, deserving all honor, confidence and love.

We believe in the unity of the Divinity existing eternally in three persons, which is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, these equal in all divine perfection, carrying out distinct functions, but harmonizing in all divine work.

(Exodus 15:11, 20:23; Psalms 83:18, 90:2,147:5; Jeremiah 10:10; Mathew 28:19; Mark

12:20, John 4:24, 1 0:30, 1 5:26, 17:5; 2 Corinthians13:I 4; Revelation 4 : 1 I )

Article 3. The Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God the Father and the Son and of the same nature, and that he took an active part in creation.

We believe that he testifies of the truth of the Gospel, in preaching and in testimony; that he is the person active in the new birth, and that at that moment he comes to live permanently in the believer, sealing him and baptizing him, and through his life continues to do the work of teaching, sanctifying, strengthening, guiding and helping. In addition, through the believer he testifies to the world about Jesus Christ.

We believe that God is the giver of spiritual gifts, which are given out to believers as the Holy Spirit desires.

(Mathew 28:19; Hebrews 9:14; John 14:16,17,26, 16:8-11; Ephesians 1:13, 14; Romans

8:14-16; I Corinthians 12:1-13, 13:8-10

)

Article 4. The Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Son Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the eternal and omnipotent Creator, and not a created being; that He was born of the virgin Mary by work of the Holy Spirit without laying down his Deity and thus is manifestly God in the Flesh, having the same attributes as the Father and the Holy Spirit, even in his earthly life.

We also believe that he lived a perfect life and without sin here on earth; he died for our sins in order to be a complete and sufficient sacrifice before God for the redemption of man; He rose bodily and ascended into Heaven to intercede for us; and that He will come to judge mankind and establish his kingdom on the earth.

(Genesis 3:15; John 1:1-3, 14; Isaiah 7:14; 9:6,7; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:35; Mark

1:17; Psalms2:7; Galatians 4:4; I John 5:20; I Corinthians 15:47)

Article 5. The Devil.

We believe that the Devil was an Archangel that enjoyed celestial privileges, but through his pride and ambition to be like the Almighty, fell and carried with him a great multitude of angels, and that now he is the malignant Prince of the Power of the Air and the unholy god of this world.

We believe that he is the great tempter of humanity, the enemy of God, the accuser of the saints, the principal power behind all false religions and the current apostasy, the lord of the Antichrist and the Prince of all the Powers of Darkness.

We also believe that he has been defeated by the power of the Son of God and is reserved to a just and eternal punishment in Hell a place prepared for him and his angels.

(lsaiah 14:12-15; Ezekiel 23: 14-17; Jude 6;2 Peter 2:14; Ephesians 2:2; Matthew 25: 14: Mark l3:21,22; 1 John 2:22; Revelation 12:7-10; 20:1-3)

Article 6. The Creation.

We believe that the account of Creation as given in the book of Genesis, that God created everything out of nothing, that which exists apart from himself, calling into being of his own will and word, and that this account should be accepted literally, and not as allegory or figuratively; that the creation of man was not by evolution or an evolutionary change of species, nor by the development of simpler forms of life into more complex forms through interminable periods of time, that all vegetable and animal species were made directly, and that the: law established by God was that they should reproduce according to

their kind.

(Genesis 1:2:21-23; Psalms 33:6-9; Exodus 20:11; Nehemiah 9:6; Acts 4:24; Colossians1:16,17; Hebrews 1:3; John 1:3; Revelation 10:6)

Article 7. The Fall of Man.

We believe that Man was created in holiness, subject to the law of his maker; but by voluntary transgression he fell from that holy and happy state; for that reason every person in the entire human race is now a sinner, by nature and voluntarily, and consequently is under a just condemnation, without a defense or valid excuse.

(Genesis 3:16, 24: Romans l: 18, 20, 28,32; 3:10, l9; 5:19,24; Ephesians 2:1-3; Ezequiel 18:19, 20; Galatians 3:22)

Article 8. The Expiation of (or Propitiation for) sin.

We believe that the salvation of sinners is completely free, by virtue of the redemptive work of the Son of God, who completed the will of the Father; He became a man, without sin, fulfilling the devine law by his personal obedience, and with his death gave complete vicarious expiation for our sins.

We believe that his expiation consists, not in giving an example through his death as a martyr, but that he himself was a voluntary substitution in place of the sinner, the just dying for the unjust, Christ the Lord carrying our sins in his body on the cross.

We believe that having risen from among the dead, He was enthroned in heaven, he brought together in his admirable person the tenderest sympathies and divine perfections, having in a superlative manner the qualities required of an effective Savior, compassionate and omnipotent.

(Ephesians 2:8; Acts 15:11; Romans 3:24,25: John 3:16; 10:11; Matthew 11:18;

Philippians 2:7,8; Hebrews 2:14; Isaiah 53:4-7; I Corinthians l5:3, 20; 2Cointhians

5:21; Galatians 1:4; 1 Peter 2:24;3:18)

Article 9, Repentance and Faith.

We believe that repentance and faith are the requirements for a man who is

profoundly convinced of his sin and guilt, imminent peril and impotence to save

himself; if he sincerely accepts and obeys the Word of God, in response to the work of the Holy Spirit, and receives Jesus Christ, the God-man as his only sufficient Savor and Lord.

(Psalms 51:7; Isaiah 55:6,7; Mark 1:15; Acts 2:37,38; Luke 12:8, 18:13; Romans

10:9-11, 13)

Article 10, Regeneration.

We believe that, in order to be saved, it is necessary to receive the Lord Jesus Christ through faith, and thus be regenerated, or be born again; that in the new birth one becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus, that salvation occurs instantly and not progressively; that, while dead in trespasses and sins, the new birth causes us to participate in a new divine nature and to receive eternal life, the free gift from God.

We believe that the new creation is realized apart from our ability to understand,

not by culture, nor by character, nor by human volition, but only and completely by the power of the Holy Spirit in connection with the divine Word, causing us to

voluntarily obey the Gospel; and that we should see real evidences of the holy fruits of repentance, faith and a new life.

(John 1:12,13;3:3,6,7; 2 Corinthians 5:17,19; Luke 5:27;1John 5:1, etc.)

Article 1 1. Jusustification,

We believe that justification is the act through which God, who is just, declares just the sinners who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and includes the pardon of sins and the gift of eternal life in accordance with the principles of the justice of God.

We believe that, through faith in Christ, and with no consideration given to any

works of justice that man might do, God attributes freely to the believer perfect

justice in Christ, and this introduces him to a highly blessed state of peace and favor with God.

(Acts 13:39; Isaiah 53:11; Zachariah 13:1; Romans 1:17; 4:1-9,24,25; Titus 3:3-7;

Habakkuk 2:3,4; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 3:38)

Article 1 2. Sanctification.

We believe that sanctification is the work of God to separate the berliever in Christ for or unto himself. Such sanctification is manifested in three phases.

First, instant and eternal sanctification is realized in the moment that one believes

in Christ as personal Savior; the believer receives the holiness of Christ, and he is

made a Saint as far as his position before God is concerned.

Second, progressive sanctification is the process through which the Holy Spirit

transforms the life of the believer that he should be more like Christ. The principal

means that God uses in progressive sanctification are the Word of God, discipline, testings, prayer, obedience, faith, and complete submission to the will of God.

Third, final and complete sanctification is that which is realized when the believer is carried out of this world by death or the rapture. In this last circumstance, the body of the believer will be glorified and will finally become a perfect instrument for obedience to God. There will be no more possibility for the believer to sin.

(l Corinthians 1:2,30; 6:11; Ephesians 1:1;4:2; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; John 15:3;

Hebrews 10:14; John 17:17; Romans 6:13; 12:1, 2; Hebrews 12:23)

Article 13. Security of Salvation.

We believe that those who are truly regenerated, those "born of the Spirit", have

eternal life that cannot be taken away, that cannot ever be lost, but rather that

endures to the end. The perseverance of believers is the telling sign that

distinguishes them from those who superficially made a profession of faith.

(Psalms 121:3; Matthew 6:30; John 8:31-32; 10:28, 29; Romans 8:35-39; Colossians

1:21-23; 1 John 2:19; Hebrews 1:14; I Peter 1:5; etc.)

Article 14. The divine purpose of Grace.

We believe that election, predestination and adoption are eternal purposes of God, in which He, by his grace, and through Jesus Christ, saves, regenerates, sanctifies and, in the end, glorifies the believer in Christ, all this freely, in accord with the free will of man, and that is the basis for the presence of God and that touches all the means that moves us toward that end.

We believe that this plan of God is free, eternal, immutable, holy, wise, and a

glorious manifestation of the sovereign good will of God. The plan of God includes, not just for individuals at salvation, but through all the course of human history, and it will reach its culmination with the Heavenly Kingdom that will one day be established in this world under the government of Christ in person.

We believe the notion of election excludes completely pride of place; rather it promotes humility, prayer, praise, love and confidence in God. It inspires us to the means of grace that is manifest in the results of those who place their faith in Christ.

(Ephesians 1:4-6; 2:12, 13, 16-18, 21-23; 2 Timothy 1:9; Judas 1)

Article 15. The Church.

We believe that the Church, which is His body, is composed of all the believers that have been born anew since the day of Pentecost until the Rapture. At the same time we believe that the Church in this form does not meet together now, but it will do so in the heavens when Christ comes for it.

We believe that a local church of Jesus Christ is a congregation of believers baptized in a Biblical manner conforming to Article 16, after a profession of faith; organized and associated on the basis of an agreement of faith and companionship in the Gospel, recognizing Christ as the only Head, and observing the ordinances of Christ.

(Ephesians 1:22,23; 5:25; Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:41, 42; 6:5,6; 14:23; 15:22, 23;

20:17-28; 1 Corinthians 5:11; Matthew 28:19-20; etc.)

Article 16. Baptism.

We believe that baptism, as established in the Word of God, is the immersion in

water of those who have faith in Christ, done in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, with the authority of the local church.

We believe that such baptism has the purpose of proclaiming, through a beautiful, solemn and biblical testimony, this faith in a Savior crucified, buried and raised from the dead; and also the effect of that faith, which is death to sin and resurrection to the new life of a believer. We believe that baptism is the prerequisite for being the member of a local church and to benefit from the privileges of membership.

(Matthew 3:1, 2, 6, 16; 28:19, 20; Mark 1:9; John 3:23; Acts 2:41, 42; Romans 6: 3-5;

Colossians 2:12; l Peter 3:21)

Article 17. The Lord's Supper.

We believe that the Lord's Supper consists of two elements, which are: unleavened bread and wine (unfermented grape juice) which represents the body and the blood of Chris; and that it should be celebrated in a meeting of the local church, with those who meet the criteria of the local church; thus remembering the death of our Lord Jesus Christ. We thus proclaim the faith we have placed in Him, and our participation in the benefits of his sacrifice, our hope for life eternal in virtue of Christ's resurrection from among the dead, and that this should be preceded with a careful examination of one's self, and that we should continue this celebration until he comes again.

(Acts 2:41, 42; I Corinthians 11: 23-34; Matthew 26: 26-29; Mark 14: 22-24; Luke

22:7-20)

Article 18. First Fruits, Offerings and Tithes.

We believe that the only biblical way to support the work of God is by the tithes and voluntary offerings that the believers should give, as they have prospered, with joy, love and sacrifice; that these should give their tithes and offerings to the local church for its maintenance and to propagate the Gospel to all nations.

(Exodus 23: 19; 34:26; Proverbs 3:9, 10; Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; 1

Corinthians 1,6:2)

Article 19. Missionary Work.

We believe that the only hope of salvation is in Christ and that the commission for

the evangelization of the world was given to the Church; and that this commission includes: to make disciples, baptizing them and teaching them all the things that Jesus and his disciples have commanded according to the Scriptures.

We believed that the work of missions is a collective enterprise, one of companionship, in which members and churches, working together, have the responsibility to pray, testify in their homes, in the towns and unto the ends of the world.

(Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; John 20:21; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:13-15)

Article 20. Civil Government.

We believe that the civil government exists by divine disposition, for the interests

and good order of human society; and that we should obey its laws, and pray for the magistrates and governors, conscientiously honoring them. We also believe that every citizen should respect the patriotic symbols of the country, and national and governmental institutions. We believe in the separation of church and state.

(Romans 13:1-10; 2 Samuel 23:3; Exodus 18:21, 22; Titus 3:1; I Peter2:13-14, 17;

Acts 4:19, 20; 23:5; Matthew 10:28; 22:21; Philippians 2:10)

Article 21. The Just and the Unjust.

We believe that both the just and the unjust dead will be resurrected, the redeemed to enjoy eternal life, those who are not redeemed to suffer an eternal,  conscious punishment.

(Genesis 18:23; Proverbs 11:31;14:32; l Peter4:18; Romans1:17; 5:19; 6:17, 18,

23; Galatians 3:10; John 8:21; 12:25; Revelation 20:15)

Article 22.The Second Coming of Christ and Other Future Events.

We believe in that blessed hope, the personal and bodily, imminent and

premillennial coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to take up his Church

before the great tribulation.

We believe that Jesus Christ will appear in the clouds, and that the dead in Christ

will be raised first; the believers who are alive will be transformed and together

they will all be gathered up to be with Him for the judgment of Christ and the

wedding feast of the Lamb.

We believe that there will be great tribulation on the earth, with great

afflictions for all of humanity, and especially for the people of Israel, and that there will be a large, worldwide, but false church, and that the Antichrist will rise up and establish a worldwide reign and pass himself as God.

We believe that after this Christ will come with glory and power, and with his saints will destroy his enemies, including the Antichrist, and He will throw Satan into the abyss. Then Christ, with multitudes of converted Jews and Gentiles, will establish His millennial kingdom.

We believe that, after the Millennium, the judgment before the Great White Throne will take place, in which Christ will judge the unbelievers, who will be thrown into the eternal lake of fire. After this there will be new heavens and a new earth.

We believe that then Christ will deliver his reign to the Father, having conquered all dominion, power and authority. The new city of Jerusalem will descend to the new earth where God will establish his throne, and will live eternally with his redeemed ones.

(Matthew 28:6; John 20:27; 1 Corinthians 15:4, 25, 42-44, 51-53; Mark 16:6, 19;

Acts 1:9-11; Revelation 3:21; 20:1-4, 6; l Thessalonians 4:16, 17; Philippians 3:20,

21; etc.)
